The Chief of Staff approved the operational plan to establish an haredi brigade in the IDF that will include 3,000 soldiers.
According to a report in the IDF radio station, as part of the plan, three battalions will be established for ultra-Orthodox soldiers, two of which are regular combat infantry that include full service, and another ultra-Orthodox reserve battalion. The training of the ultra-orthodox reserve fighters will last three months, after which, they will be released and called up according to the needs of the army.
