Turkey joins the "genocide" case in The Hague

Turkey joined last night (Wed) South Africa's case at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which accuses Israel of genocide in the Gaza Strip. The request, known as the "Declaration of Intervention", was submitted by a delegation of Turkish lawmakers accompanied by the Turkish ambassador in the Netherlands, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara said: "No country is above international law. The case at the International Court of Justice is extremely important, in order to ensure that Israel is punished for the crimes it has committed ".
