“Middle East does not need more weapons; it needs more peace.”

Spanish authorities have refused permission to a ship carrying weapons for Israel to dock at the Port of Cartagena, south-east of the country. The Spanish government announced it will deny ports of call to any vessel carrying weapons to Israel. “This will be a consistent policy with any ship carrying arms to Israel that wants to call at Spanish ports”, said Spanish foreign minister José Manuel Albares on Thursday, “the Middle East does not need more weapons; it needs more peace.”
