UN: Israel and Hamas violated the laws of war

The UN Human Rights Council said in a special report that Israel may have violated the basic principles of the laws of war in the Gaza Strip. The report stated that Israel's attacks in "densely populated areas in the Gaza Strip do not allow for a distinction to be made between civilians and terrorists." The report also claimed that "Palestinian armed groups launched missiles at Israel and violated their obligations to international law", as these were launched at civilian targets and indiscriminately as well.
